Company History
A company of experienced financial services and technology professionals, Portland, Oregon-based EAI was founded in 1989 by Matt Essieh.
Matt understood the challenges facing financial institutions who had moved into selling annuities, mutual funds and insurance products without having the infrastructure to efficiently manage this new market opportunity. They had no systematic way to convert a single investment product transaction into an ongoing customer relationship, or to easily track the performance of products they sold. They lacked the systems to analyze sales or manage referrals, track commissions, handle compliance reporting and other critical functions associated with the sale of nonproprietary products.
Matt and his management team developed a robust software solution to support both the front office and back office needs of financial institutions selling a variety of products. When the 1999 repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act paved the way for a more competitive environment, financial service companies really began to appreciate the value of EAI’s Platinum© system.
The financial services industry has become even more competitive and the regulatory environment more challenging. EAI continues to create software solutions to help companies better serve their customers, cross-sell more products, meet new privacy and compliance requirements, and make better informed decisions about managing their retail investment sales programs.
Today, EAI Information Systems supports financial institutions with assets ranging from $1 billion to $1 trillion. Some of the nation’s leading retail banks, broker-dealers, investment firms and insurance companies have turned to EAI for solutions that will give them a competitive advantage. See
